Lightbridge

This Privacy Policy describes our policy with regard to your personal information ("Personal Data") and other information that is collected from you when using Lightbridge Inc. 's Lightbridge mobile application.  We are committed to treating you and your information with respect and sensitivity.  By consenting to the Mobile Application User Agreement and Terms, you also consent to this Privacy Policy and allow collection and use of information and data, including your Personal Data, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  Lightbridge may from time to time amend and/or update this Privacy Policy.  The Effective Date appears at the end of this Privacy Policy. 

By providing your Personal Data to Lightbridge in any format (e.g., via email, telephone, fax, or in person) and/or continuing to use Lightbridge, you accept and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. What Information does Lightbridge Collect?

Lightbridge collects personal information that you enter on the Lightbridge mobile app or otherwise volunteer to Lightbridge when you download the Lightbridge mobile app.  You can choose not to provide certain information, but you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features.

For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Data” means information (whether stored electronically or in paper-based filing systems) relating to a living individual who can be identified from that data (or from that data and other information in our possession).  Personal Data can include: name, address, email, phone or date of birth, financial information, images and other sensitive personal information, as defined by law.

Lightbridge collects only that Personal Data that is relevant for the purposes for which the data is requested.  Lightbridge does not use your Personal Data in any way that is incompatible with the purposes for which it was collected or for which you have consented.

In some circumstances, Lightbridge may ask you for and you may submit Personal Data, which may include:  contact information, such as name, address, email, location, images, videos  and phone number.  For complete functionality of Lightbridge, you will be required to provide access to your contacts, photos and calendar functionality stored on your mobile device.  You can choose not to provide access, but you may not be able to utilize the full functionality of Lightbridge. You may also choose to provide additional information through Lightbridge, such as health information.  Lightbridge does not collect this information.  Finally, Lightbridge may also provide a location feature that may require access to your location.  If you choose to enable this feature, you will be required to authorize your approximate location information collected from cellular, Wi-Fi, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and Bluetooth.  If you have provided access to a caregiver or other individual, such location information may be provided to them.

Lightbridge does not use cookies.

  1. How does Lightbridge Use Personal Data?

Lightbridge will use this information noted above to provide you with the information and services that you request from Lightbridge; to contact you in the future to provide you with information about other goods and services Lightbridge offers; to notify you about changes to Lightbridge; to comply with applicable laws and regulations; to perform data analyses (including anonymization and aggregation of Personal Data); and to improve Lightbridge  to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your mobile device.

  1. Does Lightbridge Sell Your Personal Data to any third parties?

Lightbridge does not provide or sell your Personal Data to anyone other than those that you specifically authorize for access.   Lightbridge  is designed to enable connectivity among groups and communities. Lightbridge will only enable group and community sharing if you specifically authorize such access.

  1. Our Storage of Your Personal Data

Lightbridge uses reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your Personal Data from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, taking into due account the risks involved in the processing undertaken and the nature of the Personal Data Lightbridge collects and stores that information on a Google Protected Server.

Lightbridge will keep your Personal Data for as long as Lightbridge needs it, or as otherwise prescribed by law, for the purposes set out above.  This period will vary depending on your interactions with Lightbridge.   

  1. Access to Other Applications and Websites

Lightbridge  may provide links to other applications and websites.   If you follow a link to any of these applications and/or websites, please note that they are not covered by this Privacy Policy.  Lightbridge is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties or the content of linked content.  Lightbridge encourages you to read the applicable privacy policies and terms and conditions of such parties.  This Privacy Policy only applies to how Lightbridge deals with your Personal Data, and it does not apply to any other company or any other company’s applications and/or websites even if you access them via Lightbridge.  Please check those policies before you submit any Personal Data to them.

  1. Protecting Children's Privacy

The Lightbridge mobile app is intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information from children.

We may collect the following types of personal information from children under 13 directly through our mobile app:

  • Persistent identifiers such as device ID necessary for the operation of the service.

  • Personal information provided by the child during account registration, such as username, password, or email address 

  • Other information provided by the child during app usage, such as photos, videos, or messages

  • Parental Consent required to use “Community” feature

Prior verifiable parental consent is required for the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information from children under 13, except in limited circumstances as permitted by COPPA. 

We may use appropriate mechanisms to obtain parental consent, such as:

  • Requiring a credit card or other online payment method

We may use personal information collected from children under 13 for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve our mobile app and services.

  • To customize the user experience and content based on the child's preferences.

  • To communicate with the child or parent about their use of the app, including notifications, updates, and customer support.

We may disclose personal information collected from children under 13 to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • With third-party service providers who assist us in operating our app and providing services, subject to confidentiality agreements.

  • In response to legal obligations, such as complying with a court order or law enforcement request.

Parents or legal guardians have the right to review, update, or delete the personal information of their child collected by our mobile app. They may also revoke their consent and request the deletion of their child's account directly through the child’s account on the Lightbridge App settings through subscriptions or by contacting us using the information provided below.

  1. Use of Generated AI Routines

We employ generated AI routines to enhance and optimize our services. These routines are computer algorithms designed to analyze, predict patterns, and automate certain processes to improve user experience and service delivery. When selecting the AI generator to build a routine, it is important to understand that Lightbridge does not control, nor have any liability with regard to the information returned by the AI generator. The use of AI routines may involve the processing of personal data as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

The data collected and processed by AI routines may include but is not limited to:

  • Personal information provided by users during account creation or through interactions with our services.

  • Usage data such as browsing history, preferences, interactions, and device information.

  • Aggregated data derived from the above sources, anonymized and used for analytics and service improvement purposes.

Generated AI routines are utilized for various purposes, including:

  • Personalization of user experience: AI routines analyze user data to tailor services, recommendations, and content to individual preferences and behaviors.

  • Service optimization: AI routines assist in improving the performance, efficiency, and security of our services through automated processes and predictive analysis.

  • Analytics and insights: AI routines generate insights and analytics from data to understand trends, user behavior, and preferences for business and product development purposes.

  1. Conditions of Use and Changes to Our Privacy Policy

If you choose to use the Lightbridge mobile app, your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Mobile Application User Agreement, including limitations on damages and resolution of disputes.  If you have any concern about our privacy practices, please contact Lightbridge with a thorough description, and Lightbridge will try to resolve it.  As Lightbridge’s business changes, its Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement may also change. Lightbridge may email periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, but you should check Lightbridge frequently to see recent changes.  Unless stated otherwise, Lightbridge’s current Privacy Policy applies to all information that Lightbridge has about you and your account.
